About Our ClientThe Chief Financial Officer - Construction will work for a leading New England Construction company based out of Portland, Maine. The company ranks highly on TopENR lists and has won multiple awards. The business is a General Contractor predominantly in the Commercial Sector and has a great pipeline of projects and repeat clients. The CFO will lead the accounting and finance function and be a valued partner to the CEO and other Executive Leadership.Job DescriptionResponsible for leading the annual budgeting process and establishing key strategic financial goals.Lead the Accounting and Finance team function providing strong leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.Develop accounting talent and build a high-performing finance team - in charge of hiring and training structure.Manage external relationships with CPA/Tax firm, regulatory bodies/compliance that includes joint venture, vendor and financial audits, as well as federal and state tax filings.Implement structured working capital management.Along with the Operations Team - establish, manage, and report financial results, KPIs, metrics, and other strategic initiatives.Ensure the company's revenues, expenses, investments, and programs are thoroughly analyzed and understood by the Executive Leadership team and subsequent business recommendations made.Analyze and identify cost efficiencies.Implement risk management practices to protect the financial health and profitability of the organization.Complete financial reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with accuracy and speed.Provide guidance on capital expenditures and investments.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Degree.MBA, Master's Degree in Finance or CPA preferred but not essential.Tenure in the Construction Industry essential.10 - 15+ years of Executive Finance Leadership.ERP systems: Timberline/Sage300, Procore or similar.Demonstrated track record of team development and leadership.Strategic planning and Executive Communication skills essential.What's on OfferBase Salary Range: $160,000 - $170,000.Annual bonus.Stock options.401k plan.Insurance: medical, dental and more.HSA.PTO.National Days vacation.Tuition reimbursement.Professional development training.Health & Lifestyle Benefits.Much more.If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please submit your resume for further consideration.
