Semiconductor - Manufacturing sector is growing, and we are seeking a strong leader to bolster our business development and further develop the Pacific North West Construction Cost Management Team.The role presents a unique opportunity for the right leader to build from a strong foundation, taking operations to the next level of maturity. For this role, the successful candidate will have leadership responsibilities for the cost management discipline in the Semiconductor – Manufacturing industry, driving growth across the region and being the guardian of quality on existing projects/commissions.The CM lead will work with senior leadership and delivery teams in The Pacific Northwest markets on exciting business opportunities.The successful candidate will be an agile, emotionally intelligent leader with strong technical delivery skills. They will have strong commercial sense and cross-sector experience with an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. The successful candidate will be a cost management generalist, covering estimating, cost, scheduling, risk, change, performance measurement and reporting and should be able to articulate 'what good looks like.' They will have excellent communication skills and be a strong and respected influencer. They should operate at a senior level and be comfortable presenting to large groups.Key requirements of the role include, but are not limited to:Act as principal point of contact for all cost management matters and lead and develop the existing Turner & Townsend team.Lead and motivate others to participate and contribute, providing necessary direction and inspiring high performance.Take on key account role(s), project execution assurance and maintain client relationships as required.Deliver assurance services to projects - peer review, gateway review, maturity assessments, readiness reviews, progress and performance audits.Periodically take on major program delivery setup roles and develop and lead the Turner & Townsend teams - achieve a successful 'steady state' delivery and then manage transition and backfill.Provide oversight and assurance to the Turner & Townsend major programs in the region.Identify organizational needs, develop role specifications and build and execute recruitment plans and strategies.Extensive experience in delivering cost management programs and projects.Play a key role in the Real Estate cost management business development activities for the cost center and become a brand ambassador.Drive the development and implementation of marketing and business development strategies.Provide solutions to clients and work together with business development team members on sales proposals, qualification packages and presentation materials.Coordinate with project team leaders on project negotiations and execution.Collaborate with the other business service leads, sector leads, key client leads and cost center leads.Deliver high quality service products by understanding and utilizing Turner & Townsend systems, policy and procedure, managing time, planning and organizing to ensure excellence.Demonstrate understanding of commercial business drivers and ensure that work and projects are carried out in alignment. Contribute to the development of business opportunities.Demonstrable appetite for challenge, innovation and continued improvement in the cost management discipline.Take responsibility for the financial performance of the cost management team and project profit.Identify and understand areas of opportunity and development.Enable continued growth trajectory within the market.Minimum requirements:Minimum 10+ years of relevant working experience in the cost management discipline.Experience working within the North American markets and particularly within large metropolitan areas.Experience in the Semiconductor Manufacturing sector and knowledge of local markets is preferred.Degree holder in Quantity Surveying, or a related field (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.).Professional Qualification: RICS qualified (MRICS), AACEI, CMAA and/or PMP.Must have proven experience in Business Development/Generation.Proactive, quality driven, self-motivated and hands-on team leader with the ability to multitask.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential, ability to communicate well with the team, clients and senior management.Experience in leading teams of professionals with a strength in growing, mentoring and developing people.The salary range for this full-time role is
$190K-$230K
per year.
Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
