Radiation Therapist (Per-Diem, Days)

At NorthBay Health, the Radiation Therapists use ionizing-radiation producing equipment to administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by physicians for treatment of disease – generally cancer. A Radiation Therapist exposes specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, noting in the patient's chart such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, equipment control settings, the patient's reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date.Minimum Requirements:Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy.Licensure/Certifications:Must hold a current State of California license in Radiation Therapy Technology (CRT-Therapy).Must hold a current license with the American Registry of Radiation Technologists (ARRT).Completion of annual requirements of NorthBay Healthcare, including: AHA or equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Experience: 1-year experience as a radiation therapist preferred.Skills:Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.Must have basic computer skills.Interpersonal Skills:The NorthBay Way is a set of value-based behaviors that are to be consistently demonstrated and role modeled by all employees that work at NorthBay Healthcare.
