Outstanding opportunity for a psychiatric nurse practitioner who is looking for a great career with an outpatient Psychiatry practice that has served the Eastern Connecticut Community for over 30 years. Competitive salary and benefits package, and candidates that are interested in a longer-term commitment to the practice will have the opportunity to become a partner.The group has offices in Norwich and Old Saybrook and is currently interviewing applicants to provide coverage in both locations. An ideal candidate would be board certified or working towards board certification, and would have an interest in working collaboratively with a team of mental health providers.Additionally, the candidate would have to be interested in working in an outpatient practice and carry a caseload for medication management. Providing psychotherapy as an adjunct to medication management is an option and could be discussed.Responsibilities include prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications while providing diagnostic impressions and specific treatment recommendations, performing psychiatric evaluations and providing clinical diagnoses, clinically assessing and evaluating patients who present with emotional, behavioral, and/or psychiatric health needs, demonstrating advanced clinical skills in interviewing, observing, and collecting healthcare information during assessments, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop treatment plans for patients.Above average compensation and benefits package, partnership option available.Additional Information
