The IT Quality Assurance Specialist will perform test planning, manual test case authoring, scripting automated scripts, test execution, and test reporting on assigned tasks. The IT Quality Assurance Specialist plays a major role in improving the quality, functionality, reliability, and usability of software products. Responsibilities include reviewing available project assets (requirements, BRD, TRD, systems documentation, test cases, defects, project notes, companion guides, release notes, test data, compliance guidelines, etc.) and preparing a test strategy following the QA Team testing guidelines and software testing best practices. Responsibilities also include learning and understanding the application/system under test and performing test activities while making recommendations on the readiness of the target system. Additionally, responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and executing test cases and automated scripts required to ensure the highest quality product possible. Effectively communicating with the project team, stakeholders, and IT organization on the status of the testing efforts and readiness recommendations that impact analysis, reports, and metrics is also essential.Other company applications such as Human Resource, Finance, Security, and Compliance systems are in scope for testing. Test types include functional testing, automated testing, performance testing, security testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).Qualifications

Required:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.2 to 4 years of hands-on functional, automated, or performance testing as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.Experience testing healthcare applications.Working knowledge of Medicare and Medical testing scenarios.Experience and knowledge of testing healthcare EDI.Experience writing test plans, test cases, and automated scripts from limited documentation.Working knowledge of the healthcare industry in the USA.Knowledge of HP Quality Center/ALM or equivalent test management system.Knowledge of HP Quality Center/ALM or equivalent as a defect tracking system.Knowledge of HP Quality Center/ALM or equivalent for reports and metrics.Additional Information
