Must Have:
8+ years of Java development in backend and is strong with data structures, design skills and scalingExperience with NoSQL database (Cassandra or Couchbase preferred)Experience in Kafka is very important
Responsibilities:Design, implement, ship and maintain highly visible consumer-facing featuresDesign and develop realtime, efficient and highly scalable APIs for the entire Playstation Network portfolioProduce thorough design and development documentationWork with limited supervision under tight time constraints and changing requirementsHelp build a world class team committed to innovation in e-commerce, network advertising and immersive experiencesLead junior team members and have a strong sense of end to end ownershipAdhere to key principle: code and design for best performance, scalability and resilienceTackle big data issues with cutting-edge open source technologies.
Additional Qualifications:3+ years developing adtech platformsExperience with C, C++, Rust, Python, Scala or Go; experience working with Kafka; experience working with Spark, Hadoop, Storm or any realtime stream analysis platformQualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field; 7+ years of coding experience in Java.NoSQL experience, such as Cassandra, Redis, HBase, Couchbase, Solr, ElasticSearchExperience building and developing Cloud-based applications or services, preferably in AWSExperience developing high scale, distributed applicationsAbility to handle periodic on-call duty as well as out-of-band requestsStrong foundation in computer science with an emphasis in algorithms, data structures, software design and cloud designAbility to do technical deep dives into code, cloud networking, deployments and architecture, yet verbally and cognitively adept to be able to hold a discussion with various stakeholdersAdditional Information
