This is a Test Engineer position within the Core BSP (Board Support Package) test group with the following responsibilities:Test development, execution, troubleshooting and problem resolution on embedded Brew/Windows Mobile/Linux/Standalone CoreBSP platforms.Focus on testing drivers for hardware blocks such as USB controller, SD/MMC controller, Touchscreen controller, Clock Regime, DMA engines and I2C/SPI controllers.Test the interactions between drivers and with CDMA/UMTS Modem and Multimedia applications.Profile and optimize CPU usage, performance and power consumption of the various SW drivers.Interact in a team environment with developers, system engineers and testers.Develop test automation in C/Perl.Flexibility in work assignments and ability to multi-task are crucial.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:1 - 3 years of work experience testing embedded software, preferably device drivers.Experience in test methodology and test processes, including requirements collection, test plan development and execution.Experience in developing test automation with strong programming skills (in Perl/TCL and C).Lab and hands-on debugging skills; ability to do initial debug and isolate failures.Preferred Qualifications:Good understanding of computer architecture and real-time operating systems is desired.Familiarity with Flash Devices, USB and other peripherals is desired.Good understanding of the software development cycle is desired.Knowledge and experience in BREW, Window Mobile, Linux, Symbian is a plus.ARM experience is a plus.Exposure to pre-silicon hardware simulators and emulators is a plus.Assembly language experience is a plus.Knowledge and experience in Bluetooth, GPS, Graphics and WLAN is a plus.Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks is crucial.Education:Required: Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. Preferred: Master's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.Additional Information
