Enterprise Architect - Safety Critical Systems DevelopmentRequired Qualifications:Four years of working experience in Enterprise Architect role for a core safety critical projectKnowledge and working experience in developing Enterprise Architecture using any of the following functional/software safety standards: MIL-STD-882, IEC 61508, EN 50128, DO 178B Level A/BKnowledge of all products/options available on Hardware, Operating Systems, Tools for safety critical project architecture, implementation and developmentExperience architecting systems with Real Time Java as a programming language option, with an understanding of Real Time Specification for Java (RTSJ)Detailed understanding of advantages/disadvantages of using Java/C++ programming languages for safety critical projects, including knowledge of safety critical Java initiatives such as JSR 30212+ years of experience/knowledge in Information Technology in Java/Java EE applicationsThe candidate preferred to have:Enterprise Architecture certifications such as TOGAF/ZachmanExperience in Networking Architecture, Security ArchitectureOperating system partition concepts/standards such as ARINC 653/MILSResponsibilities:Prepare Enterprise Architecture for safety critical Control Systems, preferably using Java as the primary implementation languageSelect Hardware, Operating System, Programming Languages, and tools for the safety critical projectPrepare Enterprise Architecture for the safety critical project meeting regulatory standardsPrepare development and implementation standards to be used for the safety critical projectInteract with other Railroads to handle interoperability needsPrepare operating, supporting, and maintenance procedures, standards, and mechanismsReview and approve software designPresent a viable safety critical architecture to regulatory authority and get it approvedRequired Education, Training, Experience or Skills:A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Additional Information
