Job Overview – Senior Accountant:Join our client’s dynamic team as a Senior Accountant in Stamford, CT. This full-time role focuses on managing accounting for loan origination and debt servicing, interacting with various stakeholders, and handling financial reporting, journal entries, and general ledger systems.Location:
Stamford, CTCompensation:
$100,000 – $120,000/year + bonusSchedule:
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to FridayResponsibilities as the Senior Accountant:
Financial Statement Preparation:
Prepare and submit adjusting journal entries and financial statements.General Ledger Maintenance:
Review client books, reconcile account balances, and ensure accuracy.Financial Analysis:
Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations, validate financial information.Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes for internal and external reporting.Project Support:
Assist with special accounting projects and research US GAAP.Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.Experience:
2-4+ years in Financial Services Industry, familiarity with US GAAP.Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general ledger software (Yardi preferred).Attributes:
Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and excellent communication skills.Certification:
CPA or progress towards certification is a plus.Application Notice:
