And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.The Customs Compliance Lead operates as the focal point for the supervision and management of cross border and global supply chain processes and policies as it relates to Global Customs Compliance. Role is critical to the business to ensure integrity for the company, its customers, and affiliate counterparts as it relates to import and export processes.Key responsibilities:

This lead role includes working in a problem-solving environment that requires close attention to details with exposure to a team-based work setting.Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to importing and exporting goods.Process import/export licenses and permits for the transportation industry.Assess and mitigate risks associated with international trade.Develop and maintain internal compliance procedures and policies.Enforce trade compliance process for import/export by providing trade classifications/rulings guidance to our trade programs.Enforce HTS classifications that scale all import/export.Demonstrated project management skills essential with proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.Key requirements:

Bachelor's in supply chain/Logistics Management.Must have experience with US Customs, Imports and Exports.Experience with 3PLs, Custom Brokers, Air and Ocean Freight Companies.Mid-level to advanced knowledge of US and global customs requirements is required.Proven strong analytical and project leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and complete tasks within a deadline.Proven ability to multi-task, manage large projects to conclusion in a deadline-driven environment with strong business judgment and strategic thinking skills.Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, and time management skills.Proven analytical and critical thinking skills to include problem solving to research and analyze complex challenges with high attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and team building skills to manage relationships between all levels across business units as well as externally in-depth knowledge of import/export operations, international regulations, and customs compliance.Proven success in developing and implementing strategies to ensure cost-effective international shipping.Lonza is an equal opportunity employer.
