Product Validation Engineer
to add to their team in Ann Arbor, MI. They are looking to hire at either the
Principal or Senior level , depending on your experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the validation, characterization, and overseeing production releases of advanced MEMS semiconductor technologies. The position entails 70% hands-on laboratory work, addressing complex technical problems, and 30% cross-functional communication/leadership in project initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in analog circuits, electrical device testing via lab instrumentation, and developing verification/characterization plans. To be successful, you must be highly motivated and enjoy multidimensional problem solving while collaborating in a fast-paced team environment. Req.) Responsibilities•
Responsible for validation and production release oversight of semiconductor technologies•
Identify measurement methodologies to assess and ensure the performance of MEMS products•
Plan and execute device verification and characterization•
Explore options to automate verification and testing processes•
Design and validate PCB test platforms and firmware for data acquisition•
Develop and transfer algorithms to test and production environments•
Perform engineering failure analysis to identify root causes•
Debug electronic boards•
Evaluate new silicon and recommend design improvements for enhanced performance•
Innovate and prototype new system architectures and technologies•
Work through all phases of product development with a focus on validation•
Interface with cross-functional teams, vendors, and manage multi-site projectsPrincipal or Senior Product Validation Engineer (Electrical Device Testing Exp. Req.) Qualifications•
MS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required•
8+ years of electrical engineering experience is required•
3+ years of electrical device testing, including creating verification plans, is required•
Strong knowledge of analog circuits is required•
Ability to edit code (MATLAB or Python) & understand the coding logic is required•
Able to attend after-hours meetings with the CA office (PST) up to 1X per week is required•
Ability to work 100% on-site is required
