Payments often arrive through different channels from non-matching, incomplete, or missing remittance information.VantagePoint attempts to standardize receivables processing regardless of payment type:Enable customers to specify key remittance fields required to automatically post incoming payments. All payments will be processed through defined filters/rules.Payer Lookup to enhance remitter identification.Visibility to all incoming payments at summary and detail level through a web user interface.Workflow capabilities to research, correct, and route exception payments (i.e., payments that do not contain all required remittance fields).Transmit consolidated payment/image files in specified format.Although the technologies are common, this is not a straightforward or easy project. Bringing these payment types together and implementing the workflow and reconciliation tasks are difficult tasks that require mature, expert-level coding skills in the technologies outlined, as the business requirements will be complex.
