Position/s: Dental Assistant (or RDA)Location: Los Angeles-KoreaTownStatus: Part-Time 8-16hrs/wk (opportunity for Full-Time)Schedule: Thursday 8a-5pThe Dental Assistant (or RDA) performs duties such as: prepare the patient for the treatment, assist the dentist in performing their treatment to the patient in restorative dentistry or oral surgery, prepare materials and equipment for treatment and have them ready for the dentist’s use, take x-rays and assist the dentist in laboratory work. May perform other related work to include, but not limited to, making appointments, answer the phones, ordering supplies and doing the dental billing.Responsibilities:Greets patients in waiting area and escorts patients to operatoryAssist the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair as required or directed by the dentistPromotes an atmosphere supportive of good dental and general health by demonstrating good oral hygiene, questioning patients to ascertain home care status, instructing patients in techniques of flossing and brushing in accordance with protocolMaintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control proceduresReview the health history, make chart entries under the direction of the operator and assure completion of forms and signaturesAssume the responsibility associated with any expanded duties that may be delegated by the dentistStock operatories and maintain clinical supply inventoryReview daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instrumentsOther duties and responsibilities, deemed necessary by Dental Director and DentistsTravels when necessary to meet operational needs.Qualifications

Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED from a WASC accredited School.Completion of a Radiation Safety Course Coronal Polishing CertificationRegistered Dental Assistant Licensed by the State of California, (optional)Must maintain a current BLScertificationMinimum one (1) year experience in healthcare non-profit setting as a Dental Assistant or RDA. Ability to pass Basic Clerical Skills Test and Dental Hygienist Competency TestAdditional Information
