Reports to the Director, Quality Management & Medical Staff Services. Assists with management of a comprehensive quality management program to encompass the performance improvement activities of the medical staff and departments of the hospital and its related services. Works closely with leadership to ensure high reliability in regulatory and accreditation compliance for performance improvement data. Oversees data collection and data aggregation as performed internally (in department) or externally (other departments) supported through prioritization and planning. Coaches and manages department staff to utilize performance improvement methods in support of high reliability including Rapid Cycle Change and Lean. Ensures timely data analysis and information to support successful decision making, action planning and implementation. Manages data entry and data array for effective support of organizational performance improvement activities. Manages communication process for detection of medical error or concerns; coordinates support activities to reduce or eliminate potential risk for medical error. Demonstrates effective group facilitation of process management for performance improvement through a variety of techniques and activities in committees, work groups, teams and one-on-one coaching and education.Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related area of study.Five+ years experience in Healthcare Quality Management.Experienced in facilitating interdisciplinary teams.Mastery of complete MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Knowledge of performance improvement and process design techniques, root cause analysis, failure mode analysis and other evaluative methods.Knowledge of Title 22, Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation and other regulatory agency requirements.Demonstrates mastery of statistical process control methods and techniques, data analysis and interpretation.Preferences:

Certified Professional of Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).Certified in Lean or Lean Six Sigma at Green Belt level.Screening Questions:

Does the candidate possess a minimum of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related area of study?Does the candidate possess a minimum of 5 years experience in Healthcare Quality Management?Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have worked in the Quality Department of an Acute Care facility for a minimum of 5 years. Candidates that simply worked with Quality will not be considered.Additional Information:
