Bachelor's degree in CS, Information Science, or related degree6+ years of programming experienceMust understand the building blocks of SharePoint (IIS, ASP.NET, Virtual Directories, AD)An excellent understanding of what functionality SharePoint can provide, the types of configurations that are available, the limitations of the functionality, and what can be achieved via OOTB (Out of the Box) or customizationSufficient knowledge in capacity planning and performance monitoringBest Practice approaches in defining a strategy for SharePoint and other common tasks like migration and upgradesExpert level SharePoint Experience with SharePoint 2007 (MOSS), SharePoint 2010, or SharePoint 2013 in mid to large enterprise deployments using Microsoft best practicesIn-depth knowledge of system design and architecture with the technologies and experience implementing a wide range of solutionsKnowledge and understanding of networking protocols, web services (SOAP, WSDL), Security protocols (SSL/TLS), cloud and hosting solutionsKnowledge of REST based communications, RESTful software architecturesKnowledge of VMwarePossess successful team leadership qualitiesIndustry certification as an expert preferred (MCSE, MCSD, MCTS, MCITP)
