The Department of Urban and Environmental Studies at Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Urban Studies, beginning August 2025, at the rank of advanced Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (without tenure).The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating the Urban Studies program, including teaching lower- and upper-division courses and advising students on future career pathways. Special consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate experience with community-based, engaged learning curricula (particularly in urban contexts like Los Angeles). The position is open to applicants with a Ph.D. in a broad range of disciplines whose scholarship contributes to any relevant dimension of Urban Studies.
