Location: Anchorage, AKDuration: 12 MonthsResponsibilities
Monitors effectiveness of software programs and routines.Tests software programs and routines for accuracy, reliability, and efficiency prior to implementation.Runs efficiency tests and timings in a continuing effort to increase the efficiency and output of production jobs.Installs, tests, and modifies existing or new operating system software.Originates and maintains documentation relating to the current status of the operating software and procedures.Studies, evaluates, and advises about specification and performance for hardware-software compatibility.Participates in feasibility studies involving examinations of hardware, software, and telecommunications.Interrogates and resolves system failures through diagnostic procedures.Monitors system/software performance.Implements and maintains telecommunication systems software and networks.Distinguish between failures caused by hardware or software of the application program processed.Write technical reports and procedures for final review.Measure the productivity of the systems (throughput, prioritization of jobs).Modify vendor-applied software programs and debug them.Write custom software programs as needed.Communicate verbally and in writing with all members of the staff.Comprehend all technical material relating to the software environments.Contacts vendors regarding services, training, and support.
