The Application Analyst operates as a member of the MIS Department and follows the objectives established by the Director of Information Technology for the daily maintenance and management of organizational technology and systems and related their related functions. In addition, the Application Analyst role delivers support services for end users in the organization. The incumbent will work strategically with a variety of business units to maintain all the assigned software systems and maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines. The Application Analyst role is the gate keeper of the assigned software systems and is critical in keeping the integrity of a variety of production systems on a daily basis. The role encompasses the ability to analyze new requirements and work with various groups. Configuration tasks, maintenance functions, issue troubleshooting and user support within the health plan for various applications, not limited to but with a focus on Member Services, or Enrollment Services department and call center and related areas. This role is responsible for defining requirements, assessing, solutioning, design, configuration, and testing of the applications with a strong focus on user support.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIs responsible for the analysis of the assigned technology and systems including, but not limited to, maintaining, implementing, upgrading and troubleshooting issues.Provides application security maintenance and support.Assists in the development and testing of application security settings, templates as required for regression, unit, integration and production.Completes daily assigned tasks for application security requests.Conducts scheduled audits of application security settings, application templates, file maintenance settings, and complies with HIPAA guidelines.Assists the MIS Technical team in providing detailed information for the resolution of application security and related issues as necessary.Communicates all application issues with the team in a timely manner.Complies with LeonHealth Planspolicies and procedures and maintains confidentiality in accordance with state and federal laws.QUALIFICATIONSUnderstanding of health plan operations and workflow with an emphasis on Member Services/Customer Service and call centers.Experience configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting payer systems.Medicare Advantage health plan experience is preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of personnel.Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and quality.WORK EXPERIENCEMinimum of three (3) years of experience as an application/systems analyst in a managed care/health plan environment.
