SUMMARY OF POSITION:This position is responsible for all accounting and bookkeeping duties for Annapolis location including bill entry and payment, inventory recording, customer invoicing, revenue reporting and monthly closings. The accounting position will work closely with the Financial Manager in order to maintain accurate books and up-to-date reports and represent Finance in the Annapolis location.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Receive, enter and pay all bills in a timely manner.Record all bank activity including incoming wires, automatic payments, etc.Invoice customers for daily sales, and ensure invoices created in other departments have been recorded correctly.Support the Operations team by maintaining purchase orders and receiving and adjusting inventory.Update and report the daily revenue and sales backlog.Maintain the fixed asset register and record depreciation.Report the sales tax payable on a bi-monthly basis.Calculate and submit sales commissions on a monthly basis.Make adjusting journal entries as needed and for month-end closings.Reconcile accounts monthly and book accruals.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.Qualifications

Education: B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance required.Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years combined accounting experience, including month and year-end closings and financial reporting.Preferred Skills/Qualifications:Minimum of 3-5 years of QuickBooks experience.High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Additional Information
