About the Position:Our client, one of the largest and most recognized global law firms, is actively seeking a mergers and acquisitions attorney to join its Chicago office as a mid-level associate. The attorneys in this firm’s robust M&A practice collaborate across borders and practice groups, and their client base spans every major global industry including technology, financial services, manufacturing & engineering, oil & gas, consumer products, media, healthcare and more.Highlights:· Top of the market compensation· Ranked as a top firm in Chicago and a top firm for M&A· Broadest M&A footprint of any law firm with lawyers across nearly 50 countries· Development and training programsResponsibilities:· Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions· Advise on M&A-related securities matters and prepare M&A-related securities filings· Run diligence and the corporate approval process for both public and private company targetsRequired Qualifications:· 3 to 4 years of significant M&A transactional experience at a large law firm (or extensive second chair experience on smaller transactions)· Experience drafting purchase agreements and merger agreements· Familiarity with managing deal work of junior-level associates preferred· Strong academic credentialsLocation:Chicago (Hybrid)Position Type
