Job Position: Communications ManagerLocation: Montebello and Los AngelesReports to: Co-DirectorStatus: ExemptSalary Range: $75k - $80k DOEPrimary Responsibilities Include:Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that include media relations, digital media, and marketing initiatives to support the organization's mission and goals.Lead, mentor, and manage the communications team, providing guidance and support in their professional development and project execution.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels.Oversee the creation and distribution of all communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, website content, social media posts, and marketing collateral.Develop and maintain the media list by cultivating relationships with journalists across national, regional, and local outlets to secure media coverage and promote organizational initiatives.Manage the organization's digital presence, including websites and social media platforms, to engage stakeholders, amplify key messages, and maintain an archive of digital content and photos.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).3 to 5 years of experience in communication, public relations, or marketing roles, with demonstrated leadership experience in managing and motivating team members.Diligent in using correct grammar and language in all communications, utilizing enterprise branding standards.Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences.Proficiency in digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, and WordPress.Committed to advancing the organization's mission and serving its targeted population.Advanced knowledge of media relations practices and principles.Proficient in photography, video, and graphic designs.Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends, depending on business continuity.Terms of Employment:Candidate must live in the Los Angeles region, have reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance for occasional travel to events or meetings as needed.Compensation and Benefits:
