we manage energy better - since 1896.Key Purpose of Role:The Embedded Engineer is responsible for design, development and documentation of Firmware/software for embedded Devices. This includes but is not limited to electronic electricity meters, RF technology and related AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) products in accordance with requirement & highly reliable quality, whilst assisting in the mentoring of Junior Engineers.Areas of Responsibility:Efficiently implement firmware using embedded C/C++ programming techniques for a variety of hardware platforms/products, which satisfy applicable technical specifications and the company’s development processes (C, C++).Develop support software to match embedded systems development, for the purposes of Automating testing and verification of unit test cases.Ensure a high-quality output by performing regular code reviews & Unit Testing.Coordinate with hardware, Software, and Test teams to work in harmony for overall product/solution designs.Familiarity with MISRA C, Git, TFS, Python and other development & repository tools.Maintain firmware/software repository for existing product range.Assist the Firmware manager in formalizing and modifying development processes, with timelines/WBS.Ensure high quality of development, with strict adherence to timelines.Assist in the management of the “extended workbench” team members in remote development centers.Documentation:Develop and maintain accompanying technical documentation, Firmware/software specifications.Involvement in Product Development Life-Cycle Activities (requirement gathering, elaboration, solicit clarification, WBS, Estimations, Design documentation).Maintain documentation for all projects to the required standards of the organization.Experience:3-6 years of professional experience.Strong programming capability in ‘C’ with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.Embedded software coding experience is a must.Real-time operating system experience is an added advantage.Ability to work within a small team environment as well as autonomously.We stand for a workplace that nurtures growth, fosters connection, and embraces authenticity.
