• Vaccine Research seeks to discover novel prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines for the prevention and treatment of significant human diseases (infectious disease, oncology) using a variety of vaccine technology platforms combined with immunomodulatory agents.• The Vaccine Immunotherapeutics group is seeking an individual (non-PhD) with antibody immunoassay experience to perform a variety of serum based assays to support vaccine candidate evaluation.• The candidate will have to work in a relevant laboratory setting, and must have practical experience and theoretical knowledge in immunoassay techniques for assessing antibodies (ELISA, Luminex, Octet, Biacore). The candidate is expected to independently plan and execute the assays, analyze the data generated, and with support of their manager prepare data summaries for presentation to the vaccine project teams.• Laboratory and related work (80-90% of time) under daily to weekly supervision• Define study aims and experimental plans with supervisor and then independently execute the work following the agreed upon plans• Independently analyze experimental data and with support of supervisor generate data summaries for interpretation of the results by the vaccine project teams.• Identify and report any experimental problems, troubleshoot causative factors, and implement necessary corrections following discussion with supervisor• Regularly record experimental work upon completion in electronic notebook systems and archive instrument raw data in server databases.• Support general laboratory operations including preparation of buffers, ordering and stocking of laboratory supplies, and regular maintenance of research instruments and equipment.• Communicate clearly with assay team members and project teams to ensure tasks are performed as required.• Comply with all EH&S regulations and safe laboratory practices Identify and act to reduce hazards and risks in the laboratory through use of Risk Assessments and Job-based Hazard Assessment Communication.Qualifications

• Experience with one or more of the following is expected: ELISA, MSD, Luminex and/or multiplex bead arrays, Octet, Biacore.• Hands on experience in use of

liquid handling robotics systems is preferred.• Familiarity with data analysis using Excel and

GraphPad Prism software

is preferred.• Prior work experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical industry setting is preferred• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to support team efforts to handle large sample numbers.
