July 26, 2024The Morningside University School of Business seeks applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Associate or Assistant Professor level in Business Administration, Management, or Marketing, to begin January 6, 2025.The faculty member will teach in-person undergraduate and online MBA students with diverse career goals, including students pursuing careers in a variety of business-related majors. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to high-quality teaching, be energetic, engaging, student-focused, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a commitment to cultural diversity and inclusive education.This is a 12-month, tenure-track position.Teaching load is 24 credits per academic year. Undergraduate classes are offered in an in-person four-credit hour format, and MBA classes are offered asynchronously in a three-credit hour format.Courses taught could include undergraduate or MBA courses in management, data analytics, business law, project management, negotiations, human resources, production and operations management, marketing, advertising and branding, sales and customer relationship management, digital and social media marketing, marketing research & analytics, marketing campaigns, and/or other courses as appropriate.Instruct and assist in the growth and success of a diverse population of students through academic and career advising, careful preparation of course materials, effective teaching methodologies, and informed critical feedback on assignments.Prepare course materials and use appropriate teaching techniques which include delivering lectures, leading discussions, team and project-based learning, and conducting experiential learning opportunities in face-to-face classes.Mentor and serve as a faculty research advisor for undergraduate Business Honors Program student research projects.Research with undergraduate students is desirable and supported.Qualifications:A Doctoral degree in Business, Management, Leadership, or Marketing preferred; ABD will be considered. Relevant experience and preferred qualifications include high-quality student-oriented teaching focus, strong interpersonal skills, proven history with teaching and student mentoring, teaching experience in Business, Management, or Marketing-related areas at the university undergraduate or master’s level, and experience with modern instructional technologies.Review of applications for the position will begin immediately and will continue until filled.
