Summary: This role requires a blend of Middle-tier and presentation-tier skills (both server-side and client-side design and development skills) with strong Core Java skills to work on a development team that supports various insurance portals and customer-facing applications. The team is creating a comprehensive web portal for brokers and retail customers, all web-based development. Skills required are expert level with Spring MVC module, strong with RESTful Web Services, proficient with jQuery - JSON, XML, AngularJS is ideal, and experience with JBOSS. This application supports agents, brokers, and retail customers so the UI is critical, rich, and feature-filled.REQUIREMENTS:Minimum 9-10 years of experience in Web application design and development.Minimum 8 years development experience in Java/J2EE technologies.Very strong working experience with Spring MVC module and proficient knowledge of components.RESTful Web Services hands-on experience and integration with Spring.Must have good understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, maintainability, security).Familiarity with Web application security considerations.Expert level skills in Object-Oriented software design.Medium level skills in SQL and database design.Desirable knowledge includes P&C Insurance industry, JBOSS, ESB (Mule), Rule Engines, JSON, JUnit, Web Services, Unix Shell Scripting.Kindly note: This position is open for our client.Qualifications
