JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Data Scientist that will help us uncover the information hidden in vast amounts of structured and unstructured data, and help us make smarter decisions to solve business problems. The primary focus is on applying data mining techniques, performing statistical analysis, and building high-quality prediction systems integrated with our solutions.
Responsibilities
Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systemsProcessing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysisDefining approaches for data miningExtending the company's data with third-party sources of information when neededConducting ad-hoc analysis and R&D involving operating heterogeneous data setsCreating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of their performance
Skills and QualificationsPhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or other related fieldsReal-world experience in solving business problems using machine learning, data mining, and data analysisData-oriented personalityExcellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithmsExperience with common data science toolkits (such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc.)Great communication skillsExperience with data visualization toolsGood applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
