Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic leader who is experienced in non-profit fundraising, government funding, and corporate management; strategic planning and program development; philanthropic development and support in securing individual gifts, corporate donations, bequests, etc.; principles and practices of donor solicitation, cultivation, and retention; planning and coordinating special events; possesses interpersonal and organizational skills to work with Foundation board members, corporate officers, volunteers, and campus administration; proven success with annual and special donor appeals; grant writing; ensuring transparency of accounting practices and appropriations of funds; budget development and maintenance; staff supervision; using computers and related software applications; communicating with a wide variety of people; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; skilled at efficient, effective, and safe use of equipment. Manages the implementation of operational plans that increase the level of philanthropic support for the entities of Saint Therese Foundation, Inc. Leads the efforts in major gift fundraising; participates in and coordinates the development and implementation of the Saint Therese annual Associate Dinner, major giving and planned giving programs, and donor-recognition programs. Supervises Communications Director, Marketing & Events Director, and Volunteer Director. Coordinates and ensures accuracy and consistency of the development processes and systems associated with annual special events, and the tracking and processing of secure contributions for restricted funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Oversees the effective use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Raisers Edge database. Provides donors with meaningful information and annual reports. Identifies funding opportunities by working with other departments. Prospects and cultivates donors and strengthens community networks. Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to establish credibility and rapport. Initiative, creativity, and self-motivation. Raisers Edge or other donor database experience strongly preferred. Five to seven years fundraising experience for a nonprofit organization, fundraising in a healthcare system preferred. Experience working with volunteers preferred. Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Additional Information
