The Dean will oversee residence life, student conduct, student engagement, campus health, and counseling services. Work to integrate academic and co-curricular functions into seamless support for student success.

Develop appropriate learning outcomes and assessment plans aligned with best practice and external standards; implement evidence-based strategies to support University goals; conduct assessment and evaluation of activities to ensure effectiveness of the division.

Work closely with the AVP for Academic and Student Success and University to improve student retention and success and provide leadership in assessing and refining retention efforts.Manage data related to student affairs and produce accurate, timely reports as needed.

Provide direction and supervision to a well-trained, student-centered staff in the areas of Counseling and Health Services, Student Engagement, Residence Life, and Student Conduct.

Develop a coherent vision for offices that aligns closely with the University’s Strategic Plan and goals.Supervise the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive student engagement and wellness program designed to enhance the experience and sense of belonging of all students at the University.Oversee and support student organizations, clubs, and activities that align with the University mission and values and encourage student involvement.Oversee residence life program to provide an engaging living and learning environment that builds a sense of community and belonging; achieve budget goals for residence life; ensure compliance of residency requirements and external regulations.Oversee student health and wellness service to promote and support the overall well-being of students.

Advocate for students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment; serve as the Student Grievance Officer referring students to appropriate resources and addressing student needs.

Provide support and guidance to students, addressing their academic, personal, and social needs.

Oversee and enforce the Saints Community Standards, ensuring a safe and respectful campus environment; collaborate with relevant departments to address disciplinary issues and implement appropriate interventions; foster a culture of responsibility and accountability among students.

Participate in the Crisis Management Team and Chair the Behavioral Intervention Team to develop and implement crisis intervention strategies for students facing personal, academic, or emotional challenges; collaborate with campus safety, counseling, and others to respond effectively to emergencies and develop a safe environment for all students.

Oversee and advocate for student center (Saints Center), residence halls, and other student engagement facilities and environment to ensure safe, comfortable, and engaging spaces; conduct capital assessments to develop budget proposals and implement once improved.Education, Specialized and/or Technical Knowledge RequirementsMaster's degree required, preferably in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs Administration, or related field.Knowledge of local, state and federal statutory requirements pertaining to higher education.
