Fulcrum Technology Solutions, LLC. has an opening for an experienced Engineer to serve as a tier 3 escalation for the Network Operations Center group. This position is a critical role in supporting Fulcrum clients, and providing leadership for Fulcrum technical operations. The ideal candidate will have solid technical skills and a track record for leading small teams in a highly technical, process-driven environment. Our ideal candidate is logical and proactive, thinks through their activities and understands how their work contributes to Fulcrum’s value to the client.Qualifications
Responsibilities :Reporting daily metrics and status to Director of Managed ServicesServe as Tier 3 escalation for troubleshooting issues relating to network, firewall and server equipment (experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco networking, and hyper converged storage solutions a plus)Work with our technical consultants to seamlessly integrate new clients into our Managed Services offeringsMonitor and maintain our SEIMIdentify and review potential new services that can be added to our Managed Services offerings and management toolsetImplement processes for monitoring/alerting, systems maintenance and change controlEnsure that up-to-date technical documentation exists for all Fulcrum services provided to our clients and take ownership for client reportingServe as Senior technical resource for NOC teamTrain and develop junior engineersRequired Skills :5+ years of IT experienceExperience working in a managed service provider (MSP) or IT operations roleStrong experience working with RMM and PSA systemsExperience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to frequent change and be able to work a flexible scheduleMust have demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to interact with and effectively present information to employees, management and customersAbility to coach and mentor employeesTechnical Skills :Strong Troubleshooting and response skillsWorking understanding of Microsoft Server and virtualization technologiesServer OS knowledge – Windows (2008/2012/2016) and Linux (RHEL)Desktop OS knowledge – Windows and Mac OS XExperience with monitoring and patch management systems, like Labtech and ConnectwiseSome knowledge of backup systems such as Datto, Axcient, Commvault etc.Strong experience with firewalls, switches, and networking.Education/Certifications :Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.Any of the following are a plus:Connectwise and Labtech trainingCCNAMCSEPalo Alto certificationsVMware training and certificationsAdditional Information
