We evaluate the candidates from the perspective of their experience with computer hardware and software. They must be very familiar with working with large software vendors and varied types of licensing arrangements. Candidates need to be able to name the suppliers, provide concrete examples of the contracts and quotes negotiated, and discuss the licenses they acquired, including the negotiation process and specific challenges faced that demonstrate their expertise in the field. An ideal candidate would have experience purchasing large volumes of computer hardware and software products, not only for internal use but also for resale to customers and for use in a hosted environment.Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education (Associate's Degree) and experience is desired for this position.Recent experience with Oracle 11i Purchasing Module or similar ERP system is required.5+ years in order placement, requests for proposals or quotes, and contract review and negotiation.Strong experience in handling purchases for computer hardware and software.Strong interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication.Proficient in MS Office software.Bilingual (English and French) language skills are a plus.
