Business Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling complex litigation cases and will be responsible for all aspects of litigation practice, including motion practice, discovery, brief writing, and trial participation.Responsibilities:Conduct motion practice and manage discovery processes.Draft and file legal briefs, motions, and other documents.Prepare for and conduct witness depositions, including taking and defending depositions.Represent clients in court appearances and during trial preparation.Interact with clients to provide updates, gather information, and discuss case strategies.Prepare cases for trial, including organizing evidence and developing legal arguments.Participate in trials, presenting evidence, and making legal arguments on behalf of clients.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive case management.Requirements:4-7 years of relevant experience in business litigation.Demonstrated expertise in all facets of litigation practice.Proven experience in case management, including fact investigation and discovery.Strong written and oral communication skills, with a focus on advocacy.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.Skills:In-depth knowledge of business litigation and legal procedures.Proficiency in drafting legal documents and briefs.Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
