Job Description

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for month-end close, account reconciliation and analysis, assisting with the external audit, assisting with internal operational audit testing, consolidations and special projects as needed. We are looking for an individual who has excellent attention to detail, has strong communication skills, has a strong work ethic, is a quick thinker and will get the job done. Essential Duties and Responsibilities•Prepares month-end close Journal Entries and assists with the monthly close cycle.•Prepares monthly account reconciliations, including Cash, Accounts Receivable, Prepaid and Other Assets, Fixed Assets, Payroll related accounts.•Fields questions related to actual departmental expenses incurred, works with Finance to explain differences between budgeted and actual amounts.•Prepares accrual/expense analyses as-needed.•Maintains accounting software (Add accounts, adjust dimensions, create rules, etc.).•Assists in the preparation of weekly financial forecasts that include detailed expense forecasting of general ledger accounts.•Assists in the preparation of year-end audit related documentation and support.•Participates in special projects as needed

Qualifications•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA a plus•3-5 years accounting experience preferred•Advanced MS Excel skills required, including VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Macros•Experience with general accounting software preferred•Excellent organizational and analytical skills required•Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
