Security Vulnerability Management Analyst

Full-time Qmulos is recruiting cybersecurity technologists who want to challenge themselves by working with brilliant people to solve some of today’s most important technology problems. As an emerging cybersecurity software company in the heart of Washington D.C., we need highly motivated technologists who think of big ideas, work well with others, and build apps that can solve game-changing problems. Among only a small group of Silicon Valley-style startups in D.C., Qmulos you’ll work with industry trailblazers and global private-sector clients while using agile product development to solve national security problems. Responsibilities:
Offer cybersecurity-oriented strategic advisory and assistance services Help improve the quality and integrity of federal security programs Analyze and offer ideas to improve security architecture Engage stakeholders to help them strengthen their security capabilities Measure and demonstrate software compliance with internal and external regulations Build custom Splunk scripts and applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive infrastructure solutions Design custom Splunk searches, programming, and reporting to meet client needs Execute well-thought-out proof of concept documents Work with UNIX, Linux, and Windows server admin teams to diagnose and resolve configuration issues Perform vulnerability scans against client networks and applications using tools such as Tenable Nessus and SecurityCenter, Acunetix, Arachni, and AppDetective Pro Evaluate findings from vulnerability scans to identify false-positives, and recommend mitigation procedures Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience; familiar with host based scanning but also web application scanning 3+ years knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity 1+ years of Splunk experience Hands-on experience in large, dynamic enterprise IT environments (500+ servers) Knowledge of hardware platforms Preference for experience in Splunk, SecurityCenter, Nessus, Acunetix, Arachni, and AppDetective Pro Requirements:
