Vast is looking for a
Merchandise Coordinator , reporting to the
Head of Brand,
to support the organization, drive brand awareness, support merchandise management, vendor relations, and general marketing and brand operations.
This will be a full-time, ( non-exempt ) position located in our ( Long Beach ) location.
Responsibilities:
Work with leadership to understand, plan, and order a revolving door of merchandise for VIP’s, conferences, events, new hires, and internal stock
Manage multiple vendors across merchandise
Assist with internal and external event planning logistics, including trade shows and experiential events as it pertains to merchandise deliverables
Work with the purchasing department to ensure vendors are approved, vetted and insured
Keep an up to date vendor rolodex
Ensure purchase orders are accurate with no cost overruns
Ability to double check artwork via Adobe Creative Suite
Familiar with Google workspace
Ability to create and update request for proposals (RFPs) and purchase orders (POs)
Understanding of artwork requirements, basic materials, construction of garments/products, etc.
Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction
Managing day to day inventories of conference merchandise and employee merchandise
Setting up and helping maintain webstore presence
Managing internal budgets for merchandise inventory
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of relevant experience
Experience juggling multiple projects across various disciplines
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to make independent judgments with limited information
Logical and strategic approach to solving problems
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Start up experience, we’re a small and developing marketing team and we need people who can quickly solve problems and help out wherever they are needed.
Possess data analysis capabilities
Experience or understanding luxury fashion and products
Additional Requirements:
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
