The Reporting Manager will assist in the preparation of periodic filings with the SEC, coordination and compilation of monthly and quarterly internal reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and technical accounting research. This position will also be involved with ad-hoc finance and accounting related projects. The position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of the 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, registration statements, pro forma financial statements, proxy filings.Assist with the coordination and compilation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages to senior executives and the Board of Directors.Assist with the review of budget-to-actual variance explanations provided by the deal/JV controllers and prepare explanations at the consolidated level.Assist in the design of system reports and processes that enhance the timeliness and accuracy of reporting packages.Coordinate with accounting, finance and investment personnel in multiple international locations for the preparation and tie-out of supporting materials for public filings, investor presentations and Board packages.Coordinate data requests and analysis for internal and external auditors.Assist with accounting research and new disclosures.Prepare industry benchmark comparisons and analysis.Provide standard and ad-hoc analyses as needed.Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related subject.4-6 years of general accounting or financial reporting experience, including 3+ years in public accounting.Investment management or real estate industry experience preferred.Experience with 10-K and 10-Q reporting.Excellent written and oral communication skills using clear, concise language appropriate for financial reporting and ability to summarize and present complex financial data in a clear, organized, concise manner.CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.Strong US GAAP knowledge and experience in financial statement preparation.Experience with Workiva/Webfilings/Wdesk software and knowledge of XBRL desirable.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to work independently as well as maturity and poise to interact with all levels of personnel.Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Word.Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.Additional Information
