A Snapshot of Your Day:
Manufacturing Support Engineer is primarily active in the field of Industrial Gas Turbines and is a member of the Turbine Module group. This role is the central interface between turbine design and turbine manufacturing organizations, working collaboratively with both teams to implement design for manufacturing principles and improve manufacturing processes. The main focus of this role is to support the development of new turbine components during design and manufacturing introduction, and to resolve production issues on existing product lines. You work closely with internal and external vendors to introduce new designs into manufacturing phase, develop and improve manufacturing processes, and resolve various technical issues related to complex turbine components.

Gas Services
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

The main focus of this role is to support the development of new turbine components during design and manufacturing introduction, and to resolve production issues on existing product lines. You work closely with internal and external vendors to introduce new designs into manufacturing phase, develop and improve manufacturing processes, and resolve various technical issues related to complex turbine components.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Provide technical expertise in the field of gas turbine manufacturing and production support.
- Evaluate manufacturing process and methods for appropriate implementation of technical requirements.
- Conduct dimensional evaluations, tolerance stack, fits and clearance analysis, and other engineering related tasks.
- Disposition manufacturing deviations and non-conformances with the consideration of impact on cost, functionality, performance and durability.
- Ensure new components follow the principles of design for manufacturing, draft and revise product definition as well as design for manufacturing philosophies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering or related required. Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with aerospace or industrial gas turbines design or manufacturing process.
- Experience with manufacturing processes utilized in gas turbine manufacturing such as investment casting, conventional and non-conventional machining, thermal spray coating, and welding processes.
- Experience with high temperature hardware and materials.
- In-depth understanding of turbine components and their functionality.
- Highly motivated individual acting as a role model in motivating others, adhering to safety guidelines, and performing assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
