Pediatric NeurologistBarrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s is seeking a talented, energetic, compassionate and collegial Pediatric Neurologist physician to join the Division of Neurology. The Division of Neurology, a key division within Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s, comprises an expert team of 18 physicians and three nurse practitioners who provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care, allowing children to achieve their optimal level of independence.Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s is a world-renowned pediatric neuroscience center. We offer the most comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurological care and services to infants, children and teens with neurological-related issues. We are proud to be one of the few hospitals to offer pediatric neurosurgery, stroke and neurocritical care, neurology, psychology, psychiatry, developmental pediatrics and rehabilitation in one central location.Patient Care Services:Provide patient care services for which he/she is clinically privileged, including but not limited to:Provide direct patient care services on an inpatient and outpatient basisProvide subspecialty consultations and follow-upProvide diagnostic and therapeutic services/proceduresProvide these services for urgent/ emergent care as necessaryStrive to achieve the best patient and family-centered careSupport Hospital’s patient satisfaction goals as well as the division’s specific targetsSupport and adhere to divisional patient safety and quality of care standardsPractice contemporary evidence-based medicine or latest experience-based medicineDivisional Responsibilities:Establish and demonstrate effort to achieve annual physician goals and objectives (e.g. individual, division, hospital)Support the medical education programs and activities of the Division, including but not limited to:Provide direct supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals for the delivery of inpatient and outpatient services when applicableConduct teaching rounds, lectures and conference for traineesParticipate in the teaching and supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals assigned to the divisionParticipate in the postgraduate continuing educational activities of the divisionProfessionalism:Treat colleagues, PCH employees and customers with courtesy, dignity and respectPromote a safe, cooperative and professional health care environmentSupport PCH mission, vision and values, including family centered care, excellence in clinical care, leadership, collaboration, and accountabilityOther activities:Support the Division Chief in his/her role as liaison to the professional community and general public as requested by the Division ChiefConduct teaching rounds or conferences outside of PCH, particularly if these activities support divisional clinical and teaching programs/initiatives.Represent PCH in the medical and business communities and before the general public in a professional mannerThe following physical and mental skills are essential to the physician’s ability to perform the foregoing duties and responsibilities successfully:The ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devicesThe ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as neededThe ability to work regularly scheduled work hoursPhoenix Children’s is a full-service freestanding non-profit tertiary pediatric medical center with 487 beds.
