RequirementsThe
Application Developer
is responsible for the Clinical Research Management Office (CRMO) and CRMO's custom software and reporting requirements.They coordinate with Medstar and Georgetown University Medical Center's research information technology teams - while developing custom reports, migrating, integrating data from institutional systems and data warehouses; and builds tools that leverage this data in support of the mission of LCCC and the CRMO.They also work closely with the CRMO OnCore Coordinator and CRMO Metrics and Analytics Coordinator to provide tools and reports needed to perform various CRMO business functions; and may be tasked with developing stand-alone web applications as needed.

reports directly to the CRMO Administrative Director. Other work interactions include:LCCC and CRMO Leadership, including the CRMO Administrative Director and CRMO Medical DirectorCRMO OnCore Coordinator, CRMO Metrics and Analytics Coordinator, and CRMO team membersMedStar, MedStar Health Research Institute, and Georgetown University Medical Center's Research Information Technology TeamsLCCC Consortium Site Members: MedStar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC) and John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC)LCCC Staff who possess data sources to be integrated or warehoused, or who maintain other institutional systems to be integratedExternal Organizations/Vendors: related to applications within CRMO such as help desks (e.g., Advarra, CTRP) and user groups
QualificationsBachelor's degree - preference for degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other science/technology related area3 to 5 years software development experience (note: consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience)Data skills - including warehousing, ETL, integration, and mappingData interface skills using REST-based APIExperienced and highly competent in SQL and in at least one Business Intelligence (BI) toolExperienced full-stack developer for web-based access and presentation of analytic or BI dataAbility to communicate with technical and clinical teams to perform requirements analysis, develop specifications, resolve questions, and track/debug issuesAbility to communicate with the business teams and IT teams supporting the infrastructure, databases, and interfaces of the application to explain requirements and understand the business implications of technical decisionsStrong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and proven ability to perform work accurately and efficientlyOutstanding work ethic and excellent attendance recordDemonstrated ability to work independently and with a teamExcellent organizational and analytical skills, with the proven ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and prioritize work
Preferred qualificationsSoftware development experience in the healthcare or clinical trial industryExperienced and highly competent in OracleDemonstrated proficiency with OnCore or other Clinical Trials Management Systems

Salary RangeThe expected pay range for this position is $54,616 to $100,493 per annum.
