Government Transactional Associate (3-5 years experience) - San Francisco, CA

Hanson Bridgett LLP has an opening for an associate in our Government Section to assist the firm's public agency clients. We serve as general counsel and special counsel to a variety of local government agencies, and are looking for a transactional attorney whose background demonstrates an interest in government and community affairs. Our clients base consists of transportation agencies, water districts and other special districts as well as private companies and organizations operating at the intersection of the public and private sphere. The ideal candidate will have some experience in handling legal issues our clients address on a regular basis, such as competitive bidding and procurement, public works contracting, alternative project delivery, transparency and open meeting laws, conflict of interests, rate setting, including Proposition 218 analysis.Responsibilities:Researching and writingReviewing and drafting contractsDrafting policies and resolutionsAnalyzing issues and advising clientsIf you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are entrepreneurial, interested in developing your own niche and eventually your own clients, Hanson Bridgett could be a wonderful fit.
