Project Coordinator, Center for Legal Immigration Assistance
Since 2001, CLIA has offered legal assistance to more than 10,000 Nebraskans for immigration matters. These include asylum applications, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), employment authorization, family-based petitions, Naturalization/Citizenship, U visas, and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions. In addition, CLIA helps undocumented immigrants with employment and housing legal issues through a partnership with Legal Aid of Nebraska and their Project UPLIFT. CLIA has recently received funding to provide mental health services to violence survivors in addition to immigration support.Position:
CLIA is looking for a receptionist to manage the front desk on a daily basis and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks which include grant management. Passing an FBI background check is required for employment.Responsibilities:Offer administrative support across the organizationGreet and welcome guests as they arrive at the officeCoordinate front-desk activities which include distributing correspondenceRedirect phone calls, collect and organize intakesHelp develop client survey, distribute and collect survey from clients on an ongoing basisEnsure reception area and conference room are tidy and presentableProvide basic and accurate information to clientsReceive, sort, and distribute daily mailMaintain office protocol for clientsKeep updated record of time workedCollect timesheets from independent interpreter contractorsOrder office supplies and keep inventory of stockPerform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and transcribingQualifications:Bilingual (Spanish and English)Work experience as a receptionistProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsPleasant personality, able to deal with stressful situations in a timely and effective mannerMinimum high school degreeExperience with working at a non-profit or grant management is a plusHow to Apply:
