As Director, you will provide leadership and direction in developing a culture of safety and in identifying opportunities and initiatives to enhance patient safety. You will also develop strategic and operational plans to build prospective, proactive, loss-prevention, and harm-reduction patient safety programs.Responsibilities:Initiate and oversee proactive evaluation and redesign of systems to improve care processes to prevent future errors.Implement information and management systems that support patient safety.Oversee and coordinate the investigation of serious events and incidents.Facilitate and coordinate participation in Risk Reduction Program components.Guide facility leadership in activities that enable and sustain an open and fair environment that promotes learning and safe systems.What qualifications you will need:Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field required.CPPS (Certification in Patient Safety) (within one year of hire).Three to five years relevant experience in patient safety, risk and/or quality.Knowledge of patient safety science principles and regulatory requirements.Strong leadership qualities and knowledge of patient safety analysis techniques.Advanced computer skills with word processing and database competency.Become a manager with an organization that invests in your career while giving to the community.
