Our premier client is currently seeking a Vice President Development/Construction - Midwest to join the team!
The Vice President will develop, communicate, and execute the development market plan within each assigned DMA. Interact with Market Planning, Strategy & Analytics, and Franchising in the formulation of each DMA market plan. Coordinate execution of market plans by collaborating with Franchisees in the DMA, the Director of Development, and the Director of Construction on all site approvals. Align with the Director of Design and Construction Services on standards for design and remodels, accomplished through monitoring and managing the performance of all members of the development team.
Detailed Description The primary accountabilities for this position include: Contributions The leadership of the development function at the market level to support the National Growth Plan. Set and monitor the standards for all development activities and ensure policies, procedures, and guidelines are understood and adhered to.
Accountabilities Achievement of the Market Teams Strategic Growth Plan objectives by leading the development team, coordinating and supervising all activities. Achievement of the market's overall growth objectives by providing direction and expert counsel to the development organization and across cross-functionally to allow for timely and organized new store openings. Increased effectiveness of Market Teams' development and construction resources by deploying those resources based on workload, competency, and alignment with objectives. The development and execution of a company-wide development strategy by active participation in forums such as the Development Council, Regional planning sessions, and National Development Update Meetings. The continuous improvement and monitoring of Development Procedures by providing feedback and guidance to the Development Services Department. Ensure that all procedures and policies are adhered to by the Development Team as it pertains to data collection, data entry, and timely submittal of all development-related documents, GDT updates, and proximity impact materials.

Job Requirements The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following: Four year degree in real estate, business, or related discipline. Ten years experience in a Vice President role with national retail development. Must have experience in working with franchisees. Five years leading a development organization in a retail or quick service restaurant environment. Strategic thinking to creatively manage a dynamic environment. Knowledge of all real estate and development management principles associated with multi-unit, franchisee-driven development. Ability to manage an organization and lead to success. Ability to forge high-performing working relationships with other functional directors. Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
