.POSITION:The LACCD is accepting applications for
Adjunct HEAD WOMAN'S SOCCER
positions for the
2024 -25 Academic School Year.
This posting aims to create a pool of qualified applicants for future openings.The LACCD seeks dynamic and motivated candidates for part-time faculty positions to engage and educate our students. Successful candidates will collaborate and communicate professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Applicants with a commitment to teaching a diverse student population are encouraged to apply.Qualified applicants may be offered an interview with Kinesiology/Athletic Department members at one or more of LACCD's colleges. Final determination of part-time Coach Assignments is contingent upon enrollment, funding, and class.Position Description:Under the direction of the Athletic Director and the Vice President of Student Services, the Head Women's Soccer coach provides leadership and oversees all coaching for the Women's Soccer Program. Responsibilities include supporting student-athletes' academic progress and adhering to LACCD rules and regulations.Duties and Responsibilities:Culturally responsive interactions with a diverse range of students and community members.Recruitment of players while maintaining a competitive team.Standard instructional responsibilities for Athletics Department classes.Monitor academic progress of student-athletes.Manage the Women's Soccer Program in compliance with relevant regulations.Schedule contests and supervise practices.Promote athletes positively to the media and community.Conduct fundraising activities for the Women's Soccer program.Attend department meetings.Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's
degree and two years of related professional experience.OR
Associate's
degree and six years of related professional experience.Understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT COVID 19 VACCINATION:All students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption.DESIRABLE:Degrees in relevant fields are encouraged but not required.Experience with student success programs in a community college setting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of athletic recruitment methods.Ability to lead and guide student-athletes.COMPENSATION:This position is paid by a stipend of
$17,900
