You will assist in performing routine maintenance, installations, modifications, component-level troubleshooting and repair, and laboratory and field technical analysis of electronic instrumentation and complex digital and analog systems.
Such systems include: Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, electronic/electrical equipment consisting of control panels, pressure transducers, acoustic and magnetic flow meters, electrically actuated control valves, tank level monitoring systems, detection systems, communications systems utilizing radio frequency, local and wide-area networks, telephony, and fiber optic cabling, and water quality instrumentation related to turbidity, pH, temperature, conductivity and various monitored water constituents.This job announcement has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this classification/job.EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency, completion of 40 semester units in electronics from an accredited college, university, vocational, or military school AND two years relevant experience;
ORTwo years as an Instrumentation and Control Technician I.
Relevant Experience is defined as:
Installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and calibration of electrical/electronic equipment and systems.Please note:
