DaysThe community you’ll be caring for:AdventHealth Dade CityAccredited Chest Pain Center with PCI & Resuscitation (American College of Cardiology)Accredited as a Comprehensive Bariatric Center under the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP)Primary Stroke Center Designation (AHCA)Leapfrog Safety Grade A, Fall 2020Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery (Blue Cross Blue Shield)The role you’ll contribute:Performs complex diagnostic and analytic testing of laboratory specimens and interprets data.The value you’ll bring to the team:Reads, examines, and interprets complex test resultsServes as a resource and addresses complex tests/proceduresManages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practicesLeads quality control and quality assurance testingAssists with data collection and special projects, as assignedAssists with department orientation and trains medical laboratory staffQualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related sciences with appropriate state licensure if required or appropriate national certificationTwo years of technical experienceMust hold a certification from one of the following: Medical Laboratory Scientist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), Medical Technologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), Medical Technologist (American Medical Technologist), Medical Technologist (American Associate of Bioanalyst), if required by facility licensed in specialty of microbiology AND/OR, serology/immunology AND/OR, chemistry, hematology AND/OR, immunohematology AND/OR, histocompatibility AND/OR, blood banking AND/OR, molecular pathologyAppropriate state licensure or appropriate national certification if required
