Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Hartford, CT, is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to manage negligence cases from start to finish, including all litigation and trial work with a focus on plaintiff representation.Duties:Manage personal injury negligence cases from initial intake through resolution.Conduct client interviews and provide legal advice to clients.Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Conduct discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.Prepare for and represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.Collaborate with medical experts, investigators, and other professionals to build strong cases.Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed about case progress and strategy.Develop and implement case strategies to maximize client recovery.Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Connecticut and in good standing with the state bar.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.Proven ability to handle a caseload independently from start to finish.Strong litigation skills, including trial experience.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.Client-focused approach with a commitment to providing excellent legal representation.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Connecticut State Bar (required).Skills:Case management and organizational skills.Strong legal research and writing abilities.Proficiency in litigation procedures and trial preparation.Negotiation and settlement skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a legal team.Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.Client communication and relationship management.Benefits Offered:Free parking.
