Site Civil Drainage Project Engineer

Weston & Sampson is currently seeking a Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in site/civil drainage experience along with knowledge of surface water hydrology and collection systems out of our Rocky Hill, Connecticut office.
What you’ll do:
Successful candidates will have 5 to 10 years of experience and have a solid understanding of surface water hydrology and drainage system hydraulics, as well as site design that will include grading, retention systems, low-impact development strategies, and resilient infrastructure.
Strong experience in HydroCAD and/or Hydraflow Hydrographs/Storm Sewers is a plus.
Experience in working with municipal clients and the ability to effectively communicate and present complex information in a public setting.
Must be willing to collaborate remotely with coworkers in other locations.
What you will bring:
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar degree is required.
MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or similar degree is a plus.
Connecticut licensed Professional Engineer, or ability to pass exam within the first year of employment is preferred.
Experience in the field with oversight of construction is a plus.
Experience modeling and designing stormwater BMPs/green infrastructure on LID projects is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational/time management skills.
Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites within New England.
Valid driver's license is required.
