The Division of Trauma, Acute & Critical Care Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina is now accepting applications for a full-time academic trauma surgeon.

Successful candidates will be BC/BE in General Surgery with added certification in Surgical Critical Care. Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care is required. Selected candidates will be committed to research and training of residents and fellows in trauma, critical care, and acute care surgery.

An emphasis on teaching or outcomes research is expected. Academic appointments will be commensurate with the candidate’s academic record. Team spirit and the ability to interact with a multitude of specialists and subspecialists is essential.
