As a Senior Accountant, you’ll support our communities or corporate departments with general ledger entries, account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting, while maintaining an environment of strong accounting controls. In this role, you will handle more complex accounting transactions and ensure strong customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely reporting. As an emerging leader, you’ll support other staff members in their training and development, as well as review work prepared by staff accountants.What we offerPTO, volunteer hours, and competitive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision for eligible employees, in accordance with applicable state law.401k for all employees 18 and over with a company match up to 3%.A "career for life" approach to professional and personal development, with exceptional growth opportunities.Education assistance, certification reimbursement, and student loan refinancing partnership programs are available.Wellness visits and sick care are available for all employees over 18 years of age.Free parking at all of our communities and corporate offices.A culture of diversity and inclusion, that builds on our mission, vision, and values.Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting from $80,000/ annually.How you will make an impactParticipate in the monthly close process for assigned entities, to ensure the monthly financial statements and other reporting deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule, and all required adjustments and journal entries are posted correctly.Support managers’ review of other accountants’ workpapers to ensure all necessary journal entries and schedules support the monthly activity as reflected in the financial statements.Support monthly cash accounting activity, as applicable to assigned entities, including preparation of construction draws, wires, receipts, and bank reconciliation for multiple accounts at corporate and/or communities.Support annual corporate forecast and budget processes.Interact with other departments and community finance teams to ensure effective coordination and communication.Contribute to the success of the year-end financial statement audits by preparing auditor requests for analysis and support for financial statements, as well as other data necessary for accurate and clean audits.Support the implementation of financial operations processes, internal controls, and procedures to meet the business needs of Erickson Senior Living.Support an environment of active team engagement.What you will needBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.At least 3 years' experience in a corporate accounting or related role.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other general ledger system is a plus.Erickson Senior Living, its affiliates, and managed communities are Equal Opportunity Employers and are committed to providing a workplace free of unlawful discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, marital status, veteran status, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local law.
