ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a CNO Virtualization Developer to support a critical mission of consequence within our Cyber Mission Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this position you will perform a combination of software design, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research.

Responsibilities may include:

Develop software capabilities taking into account the underlying hardware on which they run

Optimize algorithms and software implementations in order to meet requirements such as binary size, utilization, and performance

Perform Agile development, accurately estimating the time to complete tasks

Respond to time-sensitive operational requirements

Understand how malware is detected by personal security products and/or network monitoring and methods to evade such detection

Develop and execute comprehensive testing of software products (e.g. unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests)

Develop software implants that have network communications and the ability to persist across reboots

Document software designs, explain performance tradeoffs made, and decompose high-level designs into specific software development tasks

Develop, find flaws in, and modify complex algorithms that span multiple layers of abstraction

Recommend new technologies and processes to achieve assigned goals

QualificationsBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline.

Five (5) years of software engineering / reverse engineering / vulnerability research experience;

Two (2) years’ experience in Computer Network Operations to include Computer Network Exploitation (CNE), Computer Network Attack (CNA) or computer security experience on Windows, UNIX, or Mobile platforms.

Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Desired Qualifications:

Embedded virtualization

Strong proficiency in C programming

Memory management

Windows internals

In-depth understanding of network protocols; SSL security layers

Reverse Engineering for debugging

Python scripting

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
